As a PMHNP, I provide psychiatric medication management and brief interventional therapy to individuals 10 years and older. As part of my initial assessment I will ask you questions regarding your personal and family health and psychiatric history. Additionally, I will ask questions about your sleep, exercise, and nutrition habits; personal, family and work relationships. This is all part of getting to know you to gain understanding and insight about you to treat your mental health effectively.
When life gets imbalanced, the mind and body react. My goal with every patient is to provide the most effective treatment possible to successfully achieve short and long-term goals. Each mind is different and requires a treatment plan that might change from time to time. Together, we will assess what is working and what is not. The treatment plan is a dynamic process that can be adjusted to achieve the desired outcome.
Depending on your diagnosis, I may prescribe medication to help with symptom relief.
